I went to Master Swim today..at 5 AM. I still don’t know how I am able to get myself up at 4:35 AM…crazy, pyschoness. Anyway, I am 99.9% sure I am the slowest person there, but what am I going to do.
I had my own lane this morning and a guy in the lane next to me decided to tell me that I need to learn to do flip turns. Why he felt the need to tell me that, I don’t know. So my question is this – why do I need to do flip turns? I will never use them in a triathlon..I will never be a fast swimmer, regardless if I decide to do flipturns or not. I hate flipturns….I always get water up my nose. I tried to do them for a while, but it just didn’t work out.
So can any runner/triathletes out there please tell me why I need to do flipturns? Should I really start concentrating on doing them? Or can I please go on my happy way just pushing off the wall???
